Carlyle Group revenues rise, net income falls

The Carlyle Group L.P. (NYSE: CG) improved its top line in the latest quarter, but saw net income shrink.

The D.C.-based private equity investor reported a 3 percent increase in total revenues in the third quarter to $888.1 million. Net income attributable to The Carlyle Group L.P. tumbled to $2.3 million, 4 cents per diluted common unit, from $18.6 million, 40 cents per diluted common unit a year ago.
