The stories the Piano Man’s keys could tell.
Jennifer Lawrence, Amy Schumer and Billy Joel came together for an unforgettable moment in Chicago last night, when the legendary performer’s record-busting tour stopped at Wrigley Field.
During a rendition of Joel’s 1983 hit “Uptown Girl,” Lawrence and Schumer shimmied from the side of stage to the top of his grand piano, where they danced barefoot like no-one was watching. Many thousands were.
The Oscar winner and the comedian rehearsed their routine with Billy in an empty Wrigley Field in the leadup to the big show.
If Schumer and Lawrence look like a sister act, that’s because they’ve jointly written a comedic screenplay in which they plan to co-star as siblings. “Uptown Girl” features prominently in Schumer’s latest film, Trainwreck.
The 9 Best Things That Happened at Billy Joel’s Record-Breaking Madison Square Garden Show
Joel has been in remarkable form on stage and at the box office. He recently played Madison Square Garden for the 65th time, breaking the record for solo performances at the famed New York City arena previously held by his good friend Elton John.

Joel also played the final concert at Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum on Aug. 4, a sold-out show that grossed $1.7 million to lead Billboard’s Hot Tours tally that week. Next stop — AT&T Park in San Francisco on Sept. 5.
