Garmin Ltd Q3 Earnings Fall 34%

Garmin Ltd (GRMN) released a profit for third quarter that retreated from last year.

The company said its earnings came in at $97.18 million, or $0.51 per share. This was down from $146.44 million, or $0.76 per share, in last year's third quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.55 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter fell 3.8% to $679.69 million. This was down from $706.28 million last year.
