General Growth Properties Inc. (GGP) released a profit for its third quarter that climbed compared to the same period last year.
The company said its bottom line climbed to $340.75 million, or $0.36 per share. This was up from $308.25 million, or $0.33 per share, in last year's third quarter.
Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.35 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
The company said revenue for the quarter rose 5.5% to $768.02 million. This was up from $727.84 million last year.
