National Lipstick Day: What Colors Should You Wear?

Every day is a reason to celebrate! And today, that reason is lipstick. With today being National Lipstick Day and all, we decided to give you all a quick rundown of lip lacquers that your favorite stars have used and absolutely rocked.

Jessica Alba and Kate Bosworth's makeup artist Daniel Martin swears by Lipstick Queen's Silver Screen Lipstick in Made It. On the website, Silver Screen Lipstick is "a dazzling and revolutionary new lipstick formulation inspired by the glamour of the silver screen." According to Daniel, he describes his favorite hue as "a deep berry with a moisturizing finish."

Jennifer Garner and Elizabeth Bank rely on Fiona Stiles to create their look. For her fall creations, she used L'Oreal's Colour Riche Glossy Balm line. Her favorite shade? Petite Plum. With an amazing balmy texture unlike most lipsticks, the new L'Oreal range is smooth to apply. Couple the plum color with just the right amount of transparency and the result is a vivid hue that catches attention but steers clear from the goth feel.

Charlize Theron and Naomi Watt's makeup is handled by Pati Dubrof. Her style is best shown using NARS Audacious Lipstick and, according to her, gives full coverage, holds well, and does not give a dry feeling on the lips. She loves its many colors and is torn between Fanny, a berry color that she intends to replace red lipstick for fall, and Vanessa, a nude pink that enhances instead of blanks out.

A few more notable lipsticks and stars that wore them are Revlon Ultra HD Lipstick in HD Tulip worn by Emma Stone in the 2015 Oscars, Elizabeth Arden Moisturizing Matte Lipstick in Pink Pucker worn by Anna Kendrick, also in the Oscars, and Almay Smart Shade Butter Kiss Lipstick in Pink - Light used by Carrie Underwood-best for lipstick newbies who are looking for a smooth lipstick with just enough color.
