TEMPO.CO, Banjarmasin - Yakobus Kumis, Secretary General of the National Dayak Customary Council, continues to condemn Rizieq Shibab, leader of hardline Islamic Defender Front (FPI).
According to Yakobus, the arrogance of Rizieq Shihab and the FPI can potentially disunite the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI).
FPI’s arrogance that Yakobus refers to include doing anarchism, creating anxiety, and they also often act against the law.
“Rizieq Shihab’s presence in Indonesia has made anxiety, incited conflicts, divided the people degraded the government’s dignity. Disband FPI soon!” said Yakobus Kumis on the sidelines of the inauguration of the members of the Dayak Customary Council of South Kalimantan for the period of 2016-2021 at Mahligai Pancasila building, Banjarmasin, Saturday (28/1).
According to Yakobus, the Dayak people strongly reject all forms of radicalism, provocative acts and the spread of hatred among the people masked with religion.
Therefore, he urged law enforcement apparatus to immediately arrest and bring to justice those who are often involved in anarchism and violate human rights.
“Habib Rizieq must be arrested and brought to justice following the reports of the people who still love NKRI,” Yakobus said.
