Monday's ETF Movers: XLU, GDX

In trading on Monday, the Utilities Select Sector SPDR Fund ETF (XLU) is outperforming other ETFs, up about 0.2% on the day. Components of that ETF showing particular strength include shares of Nextera Energy (NEE), up about 2% and shares of FirstEnergy (FE), up about 1.3% on the day.

And underperforming other ETFs today is the Gold Miners ETF (GDX), down about 4.1% in Monday afternoon trading. Among components of that ETF with the weakest showing on Monday were shares of Gold Fields (GFI), lower by about 9.1%, and shares of Coeur Mining (CDE), lower by about 8.5% on the day.
