HOMEWOOD, Ala. (WIAT) — Campers participating in the Exceptional Foundation’s summer program were treated to a day of fun.

Monday, the foundation marked the midway point of the program with a wet and wild carnival day.

Summer campers participated in a number of carnival games and activities like getting soaked on a water slide.

The program offers social and recreational activities for more than 140 special needs children and adults.

Homewood Central Park hosted the wet and wild carnival, which was organized by the Regions Financial Corporation’s Emerging Leaders Program.
