Finally, nearly six months after C. Wonder shuttered operations, retailers are starting to replace the controversial brand's New York City storefronts. According to both West Side Rag and a tipster, Diesel is taking its old home at the Time Warner Center at Columbus Circle, which was the first of its three stores to close back in the winter.

The denim brand has neither this location listed on its website, nor the confirmed new flagship on Madison Avenue that's replacing the old one on Fifth Avenue, so we're not sure when we'll be able to expect its grand opening.

That's not all that's changing over in this area, either: Underground, construction facades have gone up for the subway shopping center Turnstyle, and stores are expected to open before the end of the year.

Meanwhile, C. Wonder's other old outposts—large spaces in the prime shopping neighborhoods of Flatiron and Soho—have yet to be filled.
