Indian Motorcycle opens its first dealership in Mumbai

By end-2016, Indian Motorcycle plans to expand the dealership network to 12 showrooms across the country.

Polaris India, the wholly owned subsidiary of Polaris Industries Inc which makes off-road and all-terrain vehicles, today inaugurated its first Indian Motorcycle dealership in Mumbai. This is the fifth dealership of the motorcycle brand in India. By end-2016, the plan is to expand the dealership network to 12 showrooms across the country.

Located in Jogeshwari (E) on the Western Express Highway, the showroom will have on display the entire Indian Motorcycle range which currently includes the Indian Roadmaster, Indian Chief Classic, Indian Chief Vintage, Indian Chieftain, Indian Chief Dark Horse and Indian Scout.

Inaugurating the showroom, Polaris Industries’ senior vice-president and chief HR officer, James P Williams said, “As stewards and caretakers of one of America’s most storied and legendary brand, we are proud to inaugurate our fifth dealership in India.”

Polaris India’s managing director, Pankaj Dubey said, “For a city which is always on the move, Indian Motorcycle will provide the bike aficionados of Mumbai world-class mobility solution with a slice of history. The highly anticipated dealership in Mumbai will set a new benchmark for service and support making buying and owning an Indian Motorcycle a truly enjoyable experience.”
