"Borderlands" publisher Gearbox Software will be taking over the reins from Electronic Arts after a poor market reception garnered by the original game. A Brazilian retailer also indicated that the "Bulletstorm Remaster" would be officially released in 2017.

Screenshot Slip Up

The flash drives that Microsoft gave out at E3 2016 last June contained assets of different packages. The thumb drives distributed to the press contained screenshots of "Bulletstorm Remaster", which was still unclear whether it was accidental or not. However, the tech company did not comment on the incident, nor did they announce anything related to the game during the event.

Game developer People Can Fly also dropped all questions regarding the screenshots. However, those who got the chance to see the screenshots of "Bulletstorm Remaster" were particularly impressed. They said that the graphics were significantly improved compared to the original released version.

"Bulletstorm" Reception

The original "Bulletstorm" was launched way back in 2011. It was released for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC. Critics and game reviewers rated the game well, praising the game's character controls and its dark, humorous storyline.

However, the first "Bulletstorm" installment failed to perform well with market sales, causing the planned sequel to be discontinued. It was also subject to a controversy, where it was mentioned by Fox News to be among the video games that propagate the rape culture by showing sexual scenes.

Gameplay Details

"Bulletstorm Remaster" would most likely feature the same gameplay elements featured in the original version. The game will revisit Grayson Hunt, enabling players to wield an arsenal of over-the-top combat action moves and ridiculously huge guns.

The game will be packing several interesting features that it will inherit from "Bulletstorm". There is also the new skillshot system that gives players different combinations and mechanics in taking down enemies. The Circle of Awesome allows players to kill their opponents with skill to rack up some points that are then converted to certain upgrades.

Aside from the gameplay, there are also innovative weapons that could spell the difference between life and death for the player and the opponents. Different modes such as Echo and Anarchy give players different gaming possibilities that could spice up their overall "Bulletstorm" experience.
