Why Jennifer Aniston and Jonny Lee Miller are hot again following Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie split

MARION Cotillard’s name has been all over the press in the last 24 hours, since news of ‘Brangelina’s split broke.

The French actress is rumoured to have had an affair with Brad Pitt, triggering the couple’s divorce – news of which rocked the showbiz world yesterday.

Cotillard’s name was one of the most searched on the net in the immediate aftermath of the revelation, with the Inception star said to be “absolutely devastated” at being dragged into the row.

But two other names have also surfaced.

Searches for Jennifer Aniston and Jonny Lee Miller also both went through the roof within an hour of the news breaking.

Jen and Jonny used to be married to Brad and Angelina respectively.

And the news of Brangelina's split triggered a massive spike in interest as people log on to look into their previous relationships.

Here's a round-up of what we know about their past involvement with Hollywood's now-former power couple...

Jen was married to Brad Pitt for five years, with the couple’s split in similar circumstances in 2005 reverberating around the celeb world.

The pair met in 1998 and married in a private wedding ceremony in Malibu on 29 July 2000.

For years it seemed they were a match made in heaven – a Hollywood power couple comparable to Brangelina – but it didn’t last.

In January 2005, Brad and Jen announced that they were separating.

And two months later Jennifer filed for divorce, citing irreconcilable differences.

Their split caused Brad to be plagued with allegations that he had cheated on Jen with his Mr. & Mrs. Smith co-star, Angelina Jolie – something both Ange and Brad denied.

But despite their denials, the new couple began openly dating.

Angelina confirmed she was pregnant by Brad in January 2006 and the couple went on to announce their engagement in April 2012.

Jennifer has spoken up since Brad and Angelina’s split yesterday, saying: “Yeah, that’s karma for you!”

Ange and Jonny became romantically involved during the filming of Hackers in 1995.

The Brit actor – who was one of the main characters in Trainspotting, with Ewan McGregor – is reported to have been Angelina’s first lover since a teenage relationship ended when she was 16.

After production of Hackers came to an end, the pair didn’t stay in touch for many months after.

But Ange and Jonny eventually reconnected and married on March 28, 1996.

Controversial as ever, Ange married Jonny while wearing black rubber trousers and a white T-shirt – which had the groom’s name written in her blood across it.

Apparently she believed doing this would seal their marriage and mean that he would never leave her.

The pair separated in September 1997 and divorced on February 3, 1999.
