Here's How Much Your Principals, Administrators Are Getting Paid

NEW PROVIDENCE/BERKELEY HEIGHTS, NJ — The state has released information that shows how much your school district budgeted to pay principals and administrators in 2018. See where New Providence, Berkeley Heights, and Mountainside School Districts rank in the state and in Union County.

Berkeley Heights School District pays principals and administrators a median salary of $146,094, which is the highest paid in Union County and 31st highest in the state.

Mountainside came in at the second highest in the county with $142,996 and 51st in the state. New Providence came in at fifth highest in the county with $139,372 and 72nd in the state.

The lowest in Union County was Garwood with a median salary of $105,397 and 443rd in the state.

The information is part of the state Department of Education's Taxpayer's Guide to Education Spending, which shows the median salary in every New Jersey school district.

In addition to median salaries, the site also shows each district's total spending, average daily enrollment and students from sending districts, the per-pupil costs and the district's total budget spending for 2018.
