Bride clashes with Princess Diana’s wedding dress designer after claiming gown’s sequins look like FISH SCALES
Katie Taffler was sure she knew what she wanted, but David didn't agree
WEDDINGS are definitely a stressful business, and for many women the dress is the worst bit.
The biggest problem is when ladies get a set idea of what they want and become totally obsessed with it.
Princess Diana's wedding dress designer David Emanuel is used to helping brides-to-be find their dream gown on TLC's Say Yes to the Dress, but he might have met his match in Katie Taffler.
She visited him at his Confetti and Lace shop, explaining she'd already traipsed around London but couldn't find a dress she liked.
The 26-year-old was marrying her boyfriend of five years David in Cambridgeshire and was adamant she wouldn't part with her cash unless the dress was perfect.
Her budget was £1,500 and she wanted something with a 20s vibe, but David was concerned she might be hard to please.
His co-worker Kim feared Katie might be a "picky princess", and things didn't go well when she tried on the first couple of options.
"It looks like a summer dress," she said of one costing £1,726 by Anouska G.
"I feel like I could wear it to a summer party, it's not a wedding dress.
"I feel like the sequins look like fish scales. It is the wrong shape and style, it is not for me."

The next one she tried was by Kenneth Winston and came in at £1,565, but she also didn't like it.
This time it was the skirt which was an issue - she felt it was too straight.

David make it clear he was unhappy, when he said: "One minute you want 20s which is straight, then you are pulling it in which is fishtail, I am getting huge mixed messaged, it is difficult."
Katie admitted she was making things hard.
The problem was she didn't want to compromise, but also wasn't entirely sure what she wanted.
Luckily the third dress she donned was just the ticket. It had a cowl neckline, a slight flare to the skirt and was also the cheapest at £1,180.
"I feel like a princess, it is a weight off my shoulders as it was really stressing me out," she added.
Well Katie, it could have been worse. You could have taken your bloke along only for him to slam your choice of gown, as happened to this poor lady.
