If you're looking to get an emotional reaction out of millions of people, try proposing on TV. Glenn Weiss knows that'll do the trick. After an unexpected and romantic proposal on the Emmys stage Monday night, the director stopped by Jimmy Kimmel Live with new fiancée Jan Friedlander Svendsen to talk about what was going through his head, when he decided to propose, and what he would've done had he lost.

"I don't think I was targeting Sept. 17 as the date to do this," Glenn confessed. "It happened, and it was great, but it could've been October, November, or the next two or three years."

Host Jimmy Kimmel also revealed Glenn's the man in charge of playing music to get award winners to wrap up their acceptance speeches, so he was extra aware of the timing pressure when getting down on one knee. Watch the video above to see his funny response (yes, he was worried about getting played off), and relive the extreme emotions of the couple's big night through these passionate audience reactions.
