Her side of the story: Rihanna's new 777 documentary set to shed another light on her highly criticised tour

She jetted around the globe in a week to promote her latest album, and she is set to hit the air again.

But this time the star will grace the television airwaves as her Rihanna 777 tour screens on America’s Fox network next month.

In a teaser video released on Wednesday, a collection of the singer’s documented whirlwind concert dates build up to the one-hour television screening on May 6.

The 17-second commercial begins with her home for the seven-day spectacular in November, a view from her aeroplane window.

The shots then show confetti falling on one of her audiences at the end of a gig, which could be one of her performances in either London, Los Angeles, New York City, Toronto, Mexico City, Paris and Stockholm.

The visuals cut between her jet engine and various captured moments including her walking backstage at a venue as the text on screen reads, ‘One woman takes on the world.’

The 25-year-old’s tour was named so as she tackled seven shows, in seven countries over seven days to raise sales for her Unapologetic album.

She invited 256 fans and journalists on the journey which was much-publicised, but  not necessarily for the right reasons as many reports criticised her lack involvement with her guests and the basic accommodation.

A synopsis for the programme indicates that viewing ‘provides an inside look at the singer’s ambitious and often turbulent tour, from the sound of popping champagne corks on the plane to the backstage chaos to the singer’s special worldwide appearances.’

It seems the star - who has her own clothing line for British fashion store River Island as well as a line for M.A.C make-up - never stops.

Rihanna’s current Diamonds World Tour is due to continue in Seattle on Wednesday and moves on to San Jose and Los Angeles.
