Charles T. McConnell, 81, of Greenfield and formerly of New Palestine, died April 1, 2017, from complications from Mesothelioma. He was born in Indianapolis to Charles A. and Janet (DuBois) McConnell on September 15, 1935.
He is survived by his wife, Peggy (Graham) McConnell; three sons from his first marriage to Marilyn Strodtman who preceded him in death, Michael S. (Tracey) McConnell, Mark R. (Kim) McConnell, Steven P. (Tamra) McConnell; two stepsons, Glenn and Larry McConnell; his sister, Barbara Sue (Tom) Flowers; 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a stepdaughter, Lora McConnell.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, April 6, at Flanner and Buchanan-Washington Park East, 10722 E. Washington St., Indianapolis, IN 46229. Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Friday, at the funeral home. Entombment will be in Washington Park East Cemetery. The family will gather at the Knights of Columbus, 1040 N. Post Rd, Indianapolis, IN for a time of fellowship following the entombment.
