Just as he did at the Kentucky Derby, it appears Always Dreaming will go off as the favorite in Saturday's Preakness Stakes.

Always Dreaming was established as a 4-5 morning-line favorite on Wednesday for the 142nd Preakness Stakes, and bettors backed him at 3-2 at 5 p.m. CDT Saturday.

Always Dreaming delivered a Kentucky Derby victory as a 9-2 betting favorite on May 6.

Classic Empire, 3-1 in the morning line after finishing fourth in the Kentucky Derby, remained at 2-1 as the bettors' No. 2 choice, as he has been all day.

Lookin At Lee, the second-place finisher in the Kentucky Derby, has held at 8-1 throughout Saturday.

Conquest Mo Money has the shortest odds of any of the shooters in the race - that is, the Preakness entrants that didn't run in the Kentucky Derby. Conquest Mo Money was at 9-1. The colt's morning-line odds were 15-1.

The long shot in the betting remains Term Of Art at 40-1.

Post time for the 2017 Preakness Stakes is scheduled for 5:45 p.m. CDT Saturday at Pimlico Race Course in Baltimore. NBC will televise the race.
