Jamie Lee Curtis reveals they've kicked off Halloween Kills production with first on-set photo

Jamie Lee Curtis is back on set to portray her iconic character Laurie Strode in the highly-anticipated sequel Halloween Kills.

The 60-year-old actress took to Instagram on Tuesday afternoon, sending out her first photo from the set of this new sequel to 2018's Halloween reboot.

She also revealed it's her first day in production on Halloween Kills, which is already set for release on October 16, 2020.

'NEVER SAY DIE! First day back in the battle for my life!' she said, while tagging @halloweenmovie, @BandolierStyle, the maker of her luxury phone case, with the hashtag #HalloweenKills.

Curtis was wearing a black tank top with black pants and appeared as though she'd been filming in a rather grimy environment.

The actress was seen in a trailer, with dirt and various abrasions seen on her hands, arms and face, seemingly after filming a dirty scene.

Curtis returned to her iconic role as Laurie Strode in the 2018 Halloween reboot, which was a hit with fans and critics alike.

John Carpenter returned to produce the 2018 Halloween reboot, which David Gordon Green directed and Jason Blum produced, which was a huge hit. 

 The 2018 Halloween reboot earned $159.3 million domestic and $255.4 million worldwide at the box office, from just a $10 million budget.

Universal confirmed in June that the sequel Halloween Kills will start filming in September, with Curtis returning as Strode, along with Judy Greer as Laurie's daughter Karen and Andi Matichak as Karen's daughter Allyson.

Gordon Green will direct both Halloween Kills, and the final installment of the new trilogy, Halloween Ends, arriving October 15, 2021, from scripts he co-wrote with Danny McBride, Scott Teems and Paul Brad Logan and Chris Bermier. 

Curtis will next be seen on the big screen in director Rian Johnson's (Star Wars: The Last Jedi) thriller Knives Out, in theaters November 27.

She also stars in the upcoming Senior Entourage alongside Ed Asner and the upcoming Spychosis.

The actress also serves as an executive producer on both Halloween Kills and Halloween Ends.
