A driver has been arrested after a police chase in Aberdeenshire .
The 27 year old was pulled over by officers at around 4pm on Friday between Inverurie and Port Elphinstone but he sped off and was seen to be driving on the wrong side of the road before colliding with another vehicle.
When his car came to a stop he ran off but was was apprehended after a short foot chase, police said.
He has been charged with a number of driving offences and is due to appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court on Monday.
