Betsey Johnson eliminated from 'Dancing with the Stars'

LOS ANGELES, Oct. 6 (UPI) -- Fashion designer Betsey Johnson and her professional dance partner Tony Dovolani were eliminated from Season 19 of Dancing with the Stars in Los Angeles Monday night.

"Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you," Johnson said, upon hearing the news. "This has been the best, wonderful thing. ... It has just been a trip, a big trip."

Still in the running for the coveted mirrorball trophy -- along with their professional dance partners -- are Tommy Chong, Michael Waltrip, Jonathan Bennett, Bethany Mota, Janel Parrish, Alfonso Ribeiro, Sadie Robertson, Antonio Sabato, Jr. and Lea Thompson.

The show kicked off the season Sept. 15, with Tom Bergeron and Erin Andrews returning as co-hosts and former DWTS pro Julianne Hough joining the judges' panel with fellow experts Len Goodman, Carrie Ann Inaba and Bruno Tonioli.
