Crash cleared on I-75 at I-94 in Detroit

Detroit — Lanes on southbound Interstate 75 have reopened in Detroit after a crash closed the lanes Thursday, officials said. 

The incident involving a truck was reported just before 3 p.m. Thursday at southbound I-75 at Interstate 94. The Michigan Department of Transportation tweeted the incident was a crash and fire, which affected all lanes. The closure lasted more than five hours. 

Michigan State Police has not released information on the crash or any injuries.

MDOT spokeswoman Diane Cross said the freeway took some time to reopen due to damage to the median.

The crash affected all lanes on southbound I-75 at 94.
