The Only Way Is Essex star Megan McKenna got very used to drama while appearing on the ITV reality show but it turns out that she already had some experience on that front in one of our favourite comedies.

Megan spent her weekend dropping surprising news about her acting past to her Instagram followers as she shared several photos of herself in costume appearing on E4 sitcom The Inbetweeners as an extra.

The star, who was 16 when she worked on the show, shared a promotional shot for the sitcom which features the four main actors standing in a row with other classmates around them, ready to pose for a class photo.

She circled one student standing next to actor Simon Bird, who played Will McKenzie, and wrote "That's me" on the picture.

She also shared a shot of the show's season two trailer featuring Jay Cartwright (James Buckley) and circled herself in the background, writing, "My 1 second clip on the advert".

As if her past life as an unnamed Inbetweeners character wasn't enough, Megan also revealed that she's been in an advert for Hannah Montana and appeared as an extra in two Harry Potter movies.

She announced that she had played a Gryffindor Quidditch player, meaning that she got a stunt double and had the chance to work with a green screen and go to the Quidditch ground.

We're not jealous at all...

TOWIE recently announced that it will be celebrating its 10-year anniversary this year (yes, it really has been that long since its debut) with a special series, which will feature the return of a number of past stars.

"It's time for another visit for a gossip and glamour with surprise visits from some of our favourite TOWIE faces from the past decade, who are returning to our screens to join in the celebrations of this anniversary series," the announcement read.

No names have yet been announced but Jess Wright has previously hinted that she'd return to the show, saying "it would be rude not to".
