Deputies find more than 100 marijuana plants inside Hardyville home

The Hart County Sheriff's Department found more than 100 marijuana plants inside a Hardyville home.

According to Hart County Sheriff Boston Hensley, on Monday, April 16, Hart County deputies recovered a 16-foot utility trailer that had been stolen from Green County.

During their investigation, a search warrant was obtained and executed at 2250 Liberty Schoolhouse Road in Hardyville, Kentucky.

The department says an indoor marijuana grow with 114 plants, grow lights, drug paraphernalia, several firearms and a commercial ice machine that had been stolen from a residence on Robin Lane in Hart County were seized.

Deputies arrested 28-year-old Thomas V. Poynter for receiving stolen property $500 or more but less than $10,000, cultivate in marijuana 5 plants or more 1st offense, possession of firearm by convicted felon, burglary 3rd degree, receiving stolen property under $10,000, drug paraphernalia buy/possess and persistent felony offender I.

They also arrested 35-year-old Jason Ray Luke of Cave City for receiving stolen property $500 or more but less than $10,000.

Both Poynter and Luke were lodged in the Hart County Jail.
