*No more rumors and speculation about Whoopi Goldberg’s decision to extend her contract on “The View” for one year.

The actress and moderator has confirmed that it’s true, tweeting Monday: “Ok NOW it’s official, I have re-upped for 1 year returning to @TheView 4 the 2016/2017 season. Will continue 2 annoy some, delight others.”

In May, the Daily Mail Online reported that Whoopi agreed to a one-year return for $2.5 million. If true, that would be half of what she made under her previous four-year, $5 million-a-year contract that just expired, according to the website.

A source close to the show told the Daily Mail Online that under her one-year re-up, the comedian would remain on her four-day work schedule, leaving the live Friday broadcasts for Joy Behar to continue moderating. The deal, according to the report, would also allow Whoopi to take off time for guest appearances on other TV shows and to film movie roles.

In addition to Behar, regular Paula Faris has also committed to the upcoming season, and Sara Haines is reportedly in talks to join the panel full time for Season 20, according to reports.

Raven Symone and Candace Cameron-Bure, however, have yet to confirm whether or not they’ll be back.
