MIDDLETOWN, Md. — Katie Jordan had 10 kills and 12 digs to lead undefeated North Hagerstown in a 25-19, 25-9, 25-19 sweep of Middletown on Monday.

Drew Wallech had nine kills and three blocks and Claire Knepper had 24 assists for the Hubs (4-0).

Smithsburg 3, Walkersville 0

WALKERSVILLE, Md. — Katie McCracken had 22 assists, six digs and five aces for undefeated Smithsburg in a 25-10, 25-16, 25-10 sweep of Walkersville on Monday.

Sydney Scott had 12 kills, Sydney Hammond had eight kills, Megan Domenico had five kills and Hannah Lund had six digs and three aces for the Leopards (4-0).

Williamsport 3, Catoctin 1

THURMONT, Md. — Keara Lewis had 15 kills, 14 digs, three aces and two blocks to lead Williamsport in a 25-27, 25-22, 26-24, 25-18 win over Catoctin on Monday.

Mackenzie Shank had 28 assists, three kills, seven digs and two aces, Laran Taulton had 11 digs, Jenna Shank had six digs and two aces, Mackenzie Pryor had eight assists, six digs, four kills and two aces, Hayley Kendle had 11 digs and five kills and Laken Michael had five kills and two blocks for the Wildcats (2-1).

Clear Spring 3, Thomas Johnson 2

FREDERICK, Md. — Vallery Dean had 13 kills and five blocks to lead Clear Spring in a 25-11, 20-25, 25-13, 19-25, 15-6 win over Thomas Johnson on Monday.

Zoey Breakall had 34 assists, Kyleigh McKenrick had 12 kills, nine digs and two aces, Jordyn Smith had eight kills and five aces, McKenzie Slough had 18 digs, Mackenzie Mooers had 11 digs and Jess McCauley had four kills, 10 digs and three aces for the Blazers (2-2).

Hancock 3, Tussey Mountain 2

HANCOCK — Sunni Schriver had five kills and nine aces to lead Hancock in a 25-21,18-25, 25-17, 5-25, 15-11 win over Tussey Mountain on Monday.

Sarah Kerns had five kills and six aces and Cora Keefer four kills and four aces for the Panthers.

WINCHESTER, Va. — Abbi Cartwright had nine kills, five digs and four aces for Broadfording in a 25-20, 25-19, 25-19 sweep of Mountain View Christian on Monday.

Tillie Derr had 18 assists, seven digs and five aces and Haley Kauffman had 11 kills for the Lions (3-7), while Alani White had eight assists and four digs and Kahrisa Mann added three aces.

Palmyra 3, Greencastle 0

PALMYRA, Pa. — Rachel Verhoef had 15 kills, eight digs and three aces for Greencastle-Antrim in a 25-16, 25-22, 25-17 loss to Palmyra on Monday.

Bailey Wilson had 25 assists and three digs, Baylee Schaeffer had six kills and three digs, Madison Kirkwood had five kills and seven digs, Brianne Luger had two aces and Kylie Cunningham had four digs for the Blue Devils.

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. — Courtney Stains had 13 kills and 16 digs to lead Shalom Christian in a 25-23, 25-12, 29-27 sweep of McConnellsburg on Monday.

Katelyn Binkley had 25 assists, seven digs, four kills and two aces, Emma Lehman had eight kills, four digs, two blocks and two aces, Brooke Stoneham had 11 digs, Alyssa Stoneham had 10 digs, Hannah Pogue had four kills, four digs and two aces and Emily Hoover had 18 digs for the Flames.

MOUNT UNION, Pa. — Drew Gordon had 10 assists, nine kills and three blocks to lead Southern Fulton in a 25-16, 25-16, 26-28, 14-25, 15-13 win over Mount Union on Monday.

Lindsey Hollenshead had seven kills, Julia Barnhart had six digs and three aces and Marita Murray had five kills for the Indians (2-2).

IJAMSVILLE, Md. — Ali Rhinaman scored on a penalty kick in the second half for the Warriors, who suffered their first loss on Monday.

Bagent earns MEC weekly honor

BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. — Shepherd freshman quarterback Tyson Bagent was named Mountain East Conference Offensive Player of the Week on Monday.

Bagent, the former Martinsburg High star, completed 32 of 41 passes for 378 yards and three touchdowns to lead the Rams to a 41-24 win over Glenville State on Saturday. He also rushed for a score. Bagent leads the country in passing yards per game (448), completions per game (34), points responsible per game (21) and total offense (454).

Mid Atlantic Coaching Clinic Sunday at Goretti

The sixth annual Mid Atlantic Coaching Clinic will be held Sunday at the Gael Center at St. Maria Goretti High School from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The clinic features five college basketball head coaches — Dave Paulsen (George Mason), Aaron Goodman (Washington College), Pat Crarey (Washington Adventist), Dan Engelstad (Mount St. Mary’s) and G.G. HCC volleyball team to host Homes For Our Troops fundraising event Oct. 1

The Hagerstown Community College volleyball team will host a fundraising event to benefit local and national heroes on Oct. 1 at 6 p.m. In honor of all veterans and those currently serving, the Hawks will play the Northern Virginia Community College Nighthawks with all proceeds from the game donated to Homes For Our Troops.
