PULASKI (WLUK) -- Pulaski's Dylan Hendricks developed into one of the state's top running backs last season as a junior by rushing for more than 2,000 yards and scoring 27 touchdowns.

His performance gained a lot of attention as he received offers from South Dakota, North Dakota State, Minnesota-Duluth and others.

As Hendricks prepares for his final high school season at Pulaski he has made a decision on his choice to play football in college.

Hendricks will attend North Dakota State and said he will enter the program as an "athlete." Hendricks said playing for a program that has done a lot of winning recently -- the Bison has won six of the last seven NCAA Division I FCS national titles -- was a big reason for his decision.

"Just seeing how good of a program they are and seeing that they're on the rise and compete for national titles year in and year out," Hendricks said. "It's unbelievable and makes you want to go to a school like that."

Hendricks will enter 2018 on a streak of 16 straight games with at least 100 rushing yards. He also has scored 40 touchdowns the last two seasons and rushed for 3,526 yards in his career.
