No Phones! Gabrielle Union Bans Phones From Wedding To Dwyane Wade

Gabrielle Union looks like she’s planning to make sure her upcoming marriage to Miami Heat star Dwyane Wade goes off with very little drama. When the couple tie the knot, word has it that wedding guests will be forbidden from bringing their phones to the ceremony.

Wedding guests are forbidden from bringing cameras and phones to the event, which will take place on August 30 in Miami. Where exactly the wedding will be held is unknown, but guests have been instructed to meet up at a hotel, and they will be driven to the location from there.

Of note, of course, is the fact that invited guests have been asked to leave their phones and cameras at home “for the comfort of our guests and to protect our privacy.”

And how do we know all of this? Well, someone leaked the invite to Union and Wade’s marriage. To TMZ. So it may be the case that Gabrielle is on to something here.

TMZ notes that a rule banning phones and cameras means that the only footage of the wedding could come from the official wedding photographer. Just to show where their minds are, TMZ goes on to say that would raise the price of any footage of Wade and Union’s marriage if they chose to sell footage to the tabloids.

Dwyane Wade and Gabrielle Union have been dating since 2009, and the couple announced their engagement with twin Instagram posts in December of last year. The marriage will be the second for both Union and Wade.

Wade has sole custody of his two sons from a previous marriage. Wade’s marriage to Siovaughn Funches was officially ended in 2010, even though Wade had filed for divorce in 2007. That marriage, fraught with accusations of infidelity, finally ended with a $5 million divorce settlement.
