Police Arrest Man in Weston Home Invasion

The man reportedly broke into a Weston home and restrained a female victim before stealing jewelry.

State Police arrested a Bridgeport man after he allegedly committed a home invasion in Weston.

The incident happened on June 5. Weston Police got a call that an unknown male rang the doorbell of a residence on Ten O’clock Lane.

The female victim didn’t answer the door and later heard glass and wood breaking from the back door of the residence, according to State Police.

The man entered her residence and restrained her. He took several pieces of the jewelry before leaving, police said. She sustained non-life threatening injuries.

Police collected evidence and conducted an extensive investigation that led them to arrest Dylan Garner. He was taken into custody on July 28.

Garner, 42, was charged with home invasion, first-degree larceny, third-degree robbery, first-degree unlawful restrain and third-degree assault. He was held in lieu of $250,000 bail.
