REAL Housewives of Miami TV star "Mama Elsa" has died aged 84.
Elsa Patton appeared on the hit show alongside her daughter Marysol Patton, 52.
Her family confirmed she died over the US Mother's Day weekend after battling a "long illness".
Elsa was an recurring star in the Bravo TV series when it aired from 2011 to 2013.
She was known for her loud laugh and one-liners, which made her one of the more popular characters.
In the first series she grabbed audiences when she declared she was with.
Elsa did get her own web spin-off series called Havana Elsa, which saw her launch her own coffee chain called with the same moniker.
The series lasted nine episodes.
Following the conclusion of the second series, Elsa's health began to deteriorate after she suffered a brain injury following a fall in her home.
In 2017, Bravo TV dubbed Elsa the channel's most memorable mother for her outrageous moments.
She is survived by her two children, Marysol and Thomas Anthony Jones, her daughter-in-law and her grandson.
Donald, her husband, died in 2018.
The Patton family said in a statement: "Our beloved Elsa Patton (AKA Mama Elsa) passed away over Mother’s Day weekend after a long illness.
"She was surrounded by her family and close friends.
"Elsa was predeceased by her husband of 50 years Donald Patton who passed away last February of 2018.
“She is survived by her two children, Marysol Patton and Thomas Anthony Jones, her daughter in law Svetlana, and her grandson Hunter.
"The family is so very grateful to the many fans and friends who have continued to ask for her and offer their prayers and best wishes.
"They thank the community, her caretakers, and the many friends who have continued to check in on Elsa from all over the world.
"Their support has meant the world to the family.
“A private ceremony will take place in Miami.
"In lieu of tears the family asks you to raise a glass of good champagne in honor of Elsa’s memory.”
Services are expected to take place on Friday, May 17 in Miami.
