Donna Joyce Dawson

Donna Joyce Dawson, aged 92, died peacefully on July 11, 2019 at her residence at Marywood Benedictine Health Center. Donna was born September 13, 1926, in Portage LaPrairie, Manitoba, Canada, the daughter of Edward James Dawson and Sarah Rebecca Trimble. Donna was a gentle soul with a kind heart who dedicated her life to caring for others. She served over 30 years with St. Mary’s Hospital leaving behind a legacy of true service toward the care of others. Donna loved the outdoors and gardening but who she loved the most were her five adopted children. Donna is survived by her four daughters and one son, Kim (John) Scharer, Kara (Kevin Thompson) Dawson, Kathleen (Darius Green) Dawson, Kristen (Tregg) Anderson and Joey Dawson; three grandsons, Nichollas, Tyller, Elliott and four granddaughters, Sarah, Ollivya, Emma and Gabriella; and a number of other relatives in Canada and close friends. Gathering of family and friends from 12 noon until the 1pm memorial service at the Benedictine Living Community of Duluth Chapel at 935 Kenwood Ave on Thursday, July 18.
