MN Snowmobiler Walked a Mile, Collapsed after Crash: Police
Police say a Minnesota man crashed his snowmobile in a ditch before walking a mile and eventually collapsing on the road.
Police say a northern Minnesota man walked about a mile after a snowmobile accident before collapsing on the road. The man's wife had reported him missing as he was overdue from his snowmobile ride.
On Jan. 4 at about 4:12 a.m., the Crow Wing County Sheriff’s Office received a call of an adult male that
was found lying in the middle of the road in the 27000 block of County Road 32. The male was reported to be wearing snowmobile clothing and was unresponsive.

The man was brought to Crosby Hospital where he was immediately flown to Hennepin County Medical Center. The man was later identified as 47-year-old Brian Andrew Kokesh of Palisade, Minnesota. Kokesh was listed in critical condition, according to a news release.
Deputies at the scene determined that Kokesh was operating a snowmobile in the ditch of County Road 32 when he crashed into a ditch filled with water. Evidence at the scene indicates that Kokesh walked out of the ditch and continued walking northbound on County Road 32 for about one mile where it appears he collapsed on the road.
