“Battle of the Fittest Couples,” a contest debuting next month, will feature two pairs from Central Florida.

They are Nicole Cairns and Tony Cello, billed as “The Young Guns,” from Casselberry, and Kathy Drayton and Luther Freeman, competing as “The Celebrity Trainers,” from Windermere.

The series will debut at 11 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 15, on Paramount Network. The contest sees how the duos perform physically, mentally and as a team.

The hosts are a real-life couple: former Bachelorette JoJo Fletcher and former NFL quarterback Jordan Rodgers.

Twelve couples will take part in the series, and the champion team collects $100,000.

As the series unfolds, the couple that wins an episode can dictate the action. They will pick another team to go into the “Rage Cage” against the team that has lost that week. The team that loses in the “Rage Cage” is eliminated.

Four of the 12 teams are from Florida. The others are Christina and Andy, “The God Squad” from Fort Lauderdale, and Christie and Josh, “Tall and Small” from Tampa.

As for the rest, there are two teams apiece from California and Hawaii and one each from Georgia, North Carolina, Ohio and Pennsylvania.
