Memorial To Be Held For Slain Bardstown Officer On 5th Anniversary Of His Death

BARDSTOWN, Ky. (LEX 18) – Police in Bardstown will be holding a memorial ceremony in honor of Officer Jason Ellis on the fifth anniversary of his death.

Bardstown Officer Jason Ellis was gunned down on the Bluegrass Parkway on May 25, 2013. He was on his way home when he stopped to clear brush off the Bluegrass Parkway and was ambushed and murdered.

The crime remains unsolved.

The memorial will be held Friday at 10 a.m.at the Highview Cemetery in Chaplin, Ky.
