Seniors earned medals at CSCAA National Invitational Championship

Wolst and Zhang closed out their collegiate careers in style on Sunday, earning medals in the 100-yard individual medley at the CSCAA National Invitational Championship.
Wolst took gold in a meet-record time of 48.95 seconds, while Zhang secured silver by touching in 56.31 seconds.
Wolst also picked up a bronze on Thursday night with GW's 200-yard freestyle relay (1:20.69), swimming the second leg on a team with Alexander Auster, Max Forstenhaeusler and Dylan Arzoni.
A native of Germany, Wolst scored in all three of his individual events for the week to help the Colonials take fifth in the team standings out of 25 squads. In addition to his 100 IM win, he placed eighth in the 50-yard breaststroke (:25.24) and won the B final of the 100-yard backstroke (:48.48) to take 11th.
After winning seven medals at the A-10 Championships, Zhang wrapped her career with a strong meet against a tough field. The senior from Rockville, Md., also scored in the 50-yard freestyle (13th, :23.22) and led the Colonials in four relays, including a fifth-place finish in the 200-yard freestyle relay.
