Bill Maher urges Melania Trump and Jerry Hall to divorce husbands who ‘are ruining the world’

.

Bill Maher implored first lady Melania Trump and Jerry Hall, the wife of Rupert Murdoch, to help save the world — by divorcing their husbands.

“Melania, the world needs you,” Maher said Friday on his HBO show.

“Maybe if you left him for another man, especially if that man was Mexican, maybe he would implode on his own. Maybe it falls to you now, Melania. You can end this reign of terror and all you have to do is channel your inner Taylor Swift and walk out the door,” he said.

Maher admitted his wish for the first lady to leave her husband was unlikely to come true, but said a divorce would be easier on Trump if she had a friend who was going through similar circumstances.

“Your husbands are ruining the world,” he said. “Jerry, you’re married to the man who runs Fox News, you’re married to the man who made Brexit, the man who got Trump elected and keeps his base ignorant … I know he’s rich, but is it worth Western civilization?”

“Rupert’s f—ing the whole planet,” he said.

The number of times each man has been married proves the president and Murdoch cannot stand to be alone, Maher said. The president is on his third marriage and Murdoch has been married four times.

“When you’re Donald Trump, wives don’t leave you. You leave them. He would fall apart if she ever said, ‘Donald, there’s nothing keeping me here. I can’t love what you have become and I found where you hid my passport.’”

The first lady moved to New York in 1996 and became a U.S. citizen in 2006. She sponsored her parents, who obtained U.S. citizenship last year.
