The Pecatonica River has been closed by the Illinois Department of Natural Resources until further notice due to excess water.

According to the National Weather Service, the Pecatonica River is expected to crest at 14.8 feet on Tuesday, Oct. 9.

This would mark a moderate flood stage for the river.
