2 San Jose Men Arrested In Milpitas

Two people were arrested earlier this month in Milpitas in connection with several crimes.

MILPITAS, CA -- Two people were arrested earlier this month in Milpitas in connection with several crimes related to the possession of a loaded gun and possession of drug paraphernalia, police said.

Vincent Robert Jordan, 33, of San Jose, was arrested on suspicion obstructing a police officer, providing a false name, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of narcotics, possession of a loaded firearm, possession of a firearm with an altered serial number, possession of a concealed firearm, being a felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition and on an outstanding warrant.

Abiegail Castaneda Capili, 35, of San Jose, was arrested on suspicion of possession of a concealed firearm, carrying a loaded firearm, possession of a firearm with an altered serial number and possession of drug paraphernalia.

On Aug. 2 at 4:57 a.m., officers with the Milpitas Police Department responded to coin-operated laundry business on North Abel Street on a report of a lost cellphone that may have been taken by two patrons.
Officers located Jordan and Capili in front of the business as they were placing items in their vehicle.

Police said Jordan gave officers a false name and then tried to flee the area on foot.

After a foot pursuit, officers took Jordan into custody and found he was in possession of methamphetamine drug paraphernalia and had an outstanding warrant for his arrest, police said.

Officers then searched Jordan and Capili's vehicle and discovered a loaded revolver with an altered serial number, and Capili was also in possession of drug paraphernalia, police said.
