Jackson Police are investigating a shooting on Fernwood Drive.
JPD Sgt. Roderick Holmes said around 9 a.m. officers received a call about a 20-year-old man at a local hospital who was being treated for a gunshot wound.
The man was shot in the leg.
The victim told police that he got into a fight with his stepfather and then he was shot.
Investigators are currently attempting to verify the identity of the suspect who remains at large.
This investigation is ongoing.
