We have seen new ongoing series, revitalized series from the past, epic crossovers with other iconic characters, reprints, statues, posters, and more. What else can we add to Vampi’s 50th birthday party celebration? Vampirella coins, of course! Dynamite will release two coins featuring art by Stanley “Artgerm” Lau and Lucio Parrillo this fall.

The limited edition coins use an innovative colorization technique over a base of authentic US John F. Kennedy half dollars plated in real 24-karat gold. The coins are packaged with a full-color Certificate of Authenticity and are set inside an acrylic capsule for added protection. Even better, the coins are actual legal currency, but you’ll probably want to hang onto these.

Parrillo’s coin uses the artist’s design from Vampirella (2010) #15, featuring Vampi staring down a skull. Artgerm’s version displays his upcoming cover art for Vampirella #2, the new ongoing series written by Christopher Priest.

While the recommended retail price of the coins is $29.99 each, Dynamite is offering a special introductory price of $19.69, which happens to be the year the Daughter of Drakulon made her debut into the publishing world.

“In our 15 year history, Dynamite has always strived to offer fans not only the highest quality comic books, but also collectibles of all types,” said Nick Barrucci, Dynamite CEO and Publisher. “Fans were excited about the Red Sonja coins we offered recently, so we knew we had to bring our other flagship heroine to this category, with all of the Vampirella hype around Christopher Priest’s series, the Vampirella/Red Sonja ongoing, and the just announced Vengeance of Vampirella revival.”

The Vampirella coins can be preordered at your favorite local comic shop in August ahead of their October 2019 release. Vampirella #1 goes on sale today along with the reprint of Vampirella 1969. For more on upcoming Vampi items and series, head to Dynamite’s website.
