Grifton man charged with running illegal liquor house

A Grifton man is accused of running an illegal liquor house.

Grifton police charged Larry Garrett with six counts of possess/sell alcoholic beverage without a permit.

Police say the 61-year-old Garrett was arrested after a three month investigation into a liquor house operating on Cross Creek Drive.

Garrett was released from the Lenoir County jail after posting a $1,200 secured bond.
