The Desert Sun

The touring stars of indie rock, hip-hop, EDM, country, world music, funk and jazz have had their turn. Now it’s time to recognize the local talent.

The Tachevah Music Showcase, presented by The Desert Sun, will feature four top local bands that were recognized by music video viewers on desertsun.com and later by world-class judges and now will perform for a $3,000 grand prize Wednesday at the Date Shed in Indio. Then, four days later, the Coachella Valley Weekly will honor its selections for best local musicians in a multitude of categories and feature several performances in an awards ceremony at the Riviera Palm Springs Resort.
