UTSA Department of Music presents Dave Damiani Quartet April 12
(April 10, 2014) -- The UTSA Department of Music and KRTU-FM will present The Dave Damiani Quartet at 7:30 p.m., Saturday, April 12 in the Arts Building Recital Hall on the UTSA Main Campus.
Damiani, a versatile Los Angeles-based singer and musician, performs with his 17-piece and 10-piece No Vacancy Orchestra and his smaller groups, The Jazzadelics and The Dave Damiani Quartet.
Among the most popular big bands in demand in the Los Angeles area, Damiani and his jazz orchestras have performed at more than 250 events around the country.
Damiani has performed for events featuring various actors, athletes and corporate leaders and most recently appeared in an episode of the CBS drama "Vegas" starring Michael Chiklis, Sara Jones and Dennis Quaid.
Doug McIntyre with the Los Angeles Daily News and KABC Radio says Damiani's album "Watch What Happens" presents "a young vocalist and leader creating a new voice for a new generation backed by a band populated with superb soloists and sidemen."
General admission is $10. Tickets for students, military and seniors ages 55+ with ID are $5.
