Montrose stretched their lead at the top of Scottish League Two to six points with a comfortable 3-0 win over Elgin City.

Stirling Albion were ahead at Annan Athletic and on course to snatch second place from Peterhead, whose game at Berwick Rangers was postponed.

But Annan fought back to draw 1-1 and are a point below the play-off places.

Stenhousemuir went fourth with a 2-1 win at Edinburgh City and Cowdenbeath v Clyde was called off.

At Links Park, Terry Masson scored a sixth-minute opener and when fellow wing-back Andrew Steeves scored early in the second half the game was safe. Jamie Redman added a third.

Liam Caddis put Stirling in front early away to Annan, who levelled late on through Brandon Luke.

Stenhousemuir led at Edinburgh City with a Harry Paton goal, and though Marc Laird equalised, Mark McGuigan restored the visitors' advantage just before half-time.

Farid El Alagui then missed a penalty for Edinburgh.
