Florence + The Machine and The National have been confirmed for a huge London show as part of British Summer Time 2019.
Playing in support of her 2018 album ‘High As Hope‘, Welch will be topping the bill at the Hyde Park Festival on Saturday July 13, where she’ll be joined by The National, along with Lykke Li, Khruangbin, Nadine Shah and many more to be announced.
Tickets are on sale from 9am on Friday December 7 and will be available here.
With a live show that NME described as “magical and minimal“, Florence + The Machine recently completed an acclaimed and sold-out UK arena tour. Her homecoming gig at Hyde Park next summer follows the last time she headlined back in 2016 with Kendrick Lamar.
The National’s 2019 tour diary is also filling up, with a huge show confirmed headlining Manchester’s Sounds Of The City alongside a string of other festival shows. This marks their first London show since headlining this summer’s inaugural All Points East Festival.
Other acts confirmed for British Summer Time 2019 so far also include Robbie Williams, and a double-headline show from Bob Dylan and Neil Young.

Earlier this summer, The National revealed they were “beyond the halfway point” with progress on their next album, which guitarist Bryce Dessner said was driven by a certain “looseness” and “an energy that’s evaded us in the past.”
Drummer Bryan Devendorf added the new album would be “more than just a record.” “The other material that’s accompanying it is basically inspiring the record,” he said. “It’s a collaborative project. I’ve said too much already…It’s not a big deal, it’s just different to everything else we’ve done. There’s a new element to it. That’s why Matt [Berninger, frontman] is rewriting everything.”
Since launching in 2013, British Summer Time has seen some of the world’s biggest acts taking to the Hyde Park stage, with the likes of The Rolling Stones, The Strokes, The Cure, The Killers and more having previously played their own headline shows at the event.
