Fire Leaves Apartment Uninhabitable In Naperville

The cause of the fire is under investigation.

NAPERVILLE, IL --- Residents of a Naperville apartment unit have been displaced from their home after a fire broke out Monday evening. The blaze started in the basement of an apartment unit located in the 1100 block of Tennyson Lane, according to a news release.

Officials say more than two dozen firefighters were on hand to fight the flames after smoke was seen coming from the two-story, multi-family building around 8:21 p.m. One resident was reportedly treated at the scene, but didn't need additional medical attention.

The apartment was deemed uninhabitable, but residents who live in the building's other units were permitted to return to their homes.
