• FREE-MAILS: Checking your emails at certain times pays off. For example, many brands send out offers and discount codes via email on a Sunday evening, so set a phone reminder to go through your inbox.
  Insider info: Holiday company Travelzoo’s Sunday newsletter alerted me to dinner for two for just £49 at a five-star restaurant — where a main course alone usually costs at least £49.
• POINT TO IT: Several stores run loyalty card points offers at weekends as Christ- mas approaches. So if you’re making a big purchase, save it until then.
  Insider info: You can exchange your Nectar points for double-up vouchers in store at Sainsbury’s until November 18, to be spent between November 12 and 18. Usually 1,000 points equals £5 but during this period that would be £10.
  

  

• TEA-TIME YOUR SHOP: From my research, most supermarkets mark down items at around 4pm daily — a good time to visit the reduced aisle. Aldi and Lidl bring out new deals on Thursdays and Sundays, such as Special Buys and Middle Of Lidl, but they sell out fast.
  Insider info: This week’s Aldi Special Buy features toys but I know they have some huge pre-Christmas beauty launches ahead. Keep checking this page and I’ll soon reveal all.
