Wichita Falls PD: Tips needed in overnight shooting of woman at local apartment complex

Wichita Falls police are looking into a possible shooting Sunday night at a local apartment complex.

The incident began around 10:45 p.m., when officers were called to the Wichita Ridge Apartments, 3706 Seymour Road, on a report of shots fired.

Sgt. Harold McClure, a WFPD spokesperson, said officers found a woman with a gunshot wound to her torso inside of an apartment in the complex.

The officers began to provide medical treatment until an ambulance could arrive and transport her to the hospital.

McClure said the victim told officers that an unknown man entered her apartment and shot her.
