According to the probable cause affidavit:

Wichita Falls police responded to the Country Park Apartments, 5282 Professional Dr., for an assault on Dec. 6.

The caller, a 12-year-old boy, said he was assaulted by his sister. Officers found the boy sitting outside on the west end of the apartment building.

The officers immediately noticed the boy's left eye was very red and swollen.

He told police he was arguing with his sister, whom he identified as Carter, and she began angry with him. He said she hit him in the face several times, causing him pain.

Officers initially had difficulty getting someone to answer the apartment door, but Carter eventually opened the door.

When asked, Carter said she tried to get a blanket from her brother and he wouldn't let her have it.

She said he continued to resist letting her have the blanket, so Carter said she sat on her brother.

When the boy pushed her off of him, Carter reportedly hit him in the face.

Upon questioning, Carter claimed she couldn't provide an answer how many times she hit him after thinking about it. However, she admitted it was several times.

At that point, Carter was notified that she was being placed under arrest. She tried to flee back into the apartment, but officers quickly grabbed her and was able to get her handcuffed without much trouble.

She was taken to the county jail without incident for causing bodily injury to her brother.
