Community hall catches fire in Gales Creek

GALES CREEK, Ore. – Flames destroyed an old community hall in Gales Creek early Sunday morning.

Forest Grove Fire arrived at the building on NW Old Wilson River Road to find it engulfed in flames.

One person living there had to be taken to the hospital with a leg injury, officials said.

Firefighters had to contend with a downed power line at the scene while they were trying to get the flames under control.

No word from officials on what caused the fire.
